Some breeders are KC assured breeders and they have to be inspected to ensure the care, premises etc. are good The Kennel Club Assured Breeders scheme | Dog breeding.
The individual Bearded Collie Clubs then all have their own codes of ethics in terms of how old the bitch has to be before breeding and how many litters they are allowed to have e.g.
